The Jemez area abounds with things to do. For the adventurous there are great hiking and mountain bike trails, places to camp and fish, and in the winter, cross-country skiing is quite popular. The Santa Fe National Forest and Valles Caldera website is a great place to get more information.

Those looking for rest and relaxation can stay overnight and enjoy a soak and massage at the Jemez Springs Bath House.  Take care of your hunger with a great meal at one of the local restaurants. If you still have some energy left you can do some leisurely shopping.  Jemez Springs features some amazing art cooperatives as well.

At special times of the year there are Native American festivals and dances at the nearby pueblos to which the public is invited. Not all celebrations are open to the public. If you're not sure please call ahead.

Also a popular point of interest is the Jemez State Monument, located in the Village of Jemez Springs. Visitors are welcome to tour the history and the beauty of this historical site. The ruins are among the most impressive in the Southwest. An interpretive trail winds through the 7 acre site. The visitor center contains exhibits interpreting historic events from the perspective of the Jemez people.
