Entry fees will be waived from 5-9 p.m. at the Jemez Historic Site.
The event begins at 3 p.m. at the Jemez Valley Community Park – on Civic Center Lane, off of NM-4 – with arts/crafts vendors, Christmas music and sale of “Let Your Light Shine” VIP bracelets.
For a donation of $2 (13 and older), bracelet holders will receive free keychain flashlight (while supplies last), hot cocoa and biscochitos (while supplies last), January “Spring Up to Jemez Springs” discount punchcard, and dedicated shuttle for quicker access to the Historic Site. Parking is available at the Park as well, at no charge. Shuttle service is highly recommended and is free to everyone. Shuttle service will begin at 3 p.m. from the Community Park.
Also at 3 p.m. at the Fitzgerald Center across from the Historic Site, the Academy of Performing Arts will perform beloved Christmas music at no charge until 4:30 p.m.
Then, enjoy the beauty and glow of 1,400+ farolitos as they light the ruins of the 17th century San Diego Mission church and Site. Like the Jemez Valley Community Park, vendors will sell items at the Site.
Please avoid parking along NM-4 and at the free, designated parking areas which include: Jemez Valley Community Park and the Madonna Center. Once parking at the Park is filled, Madonna Center parking will be opened.
