Local Government

Village of Jemez SpringsEstablished in 1955, the Village of Jemez Springs is an incorporated municipality of Sandoval County.  The Village Council, composed of the Mayor and Trustees, administers community services and local ordinances.  Monthly council meetings are open to the public.  Official 2010 census records show 250 full-time residents of the Village itself, though many more live in the surrounding Jemez Valley area.  You can read more facts about Jemez Springs on Wikipedia.

Mayor and Trustees

The Village Council is made up of the Mayor and Village Trustees.  Positions are appointed by local election every two years.  The last election was held in March 2010.  Current Village representatives are:

Meetings

Village Council
Meets monthly, usually the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 6:00 pm in the Village conference room.

Planning and Zoning
Meets monthly, usually the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm in the Village conference room.

Library Board
Meets monthly in the Library. Time varies so please check the online calendar (above) or call the library at 575-829-9155 for next meeting date and time.
