Jemez Springs is located in the mountains of northern New Mexico
at an elevation of 6,300' and experiences a wide range of weather
conditions.
First frost typically occurs mid-November, with heavy snow storms
throughout the winter and the last frost around mid-April. The average
coldest month is January.
In summer, sporadic mid-afternoon rainshowers occur mid-June through
the end of August. Daily temperatures average in the high 80's with
the average warmest month being July.
